My Review on the Ramadan Buffet at Grand Lexis Port Dickson

My first Buffet Ramadan Stop this year was in Grand Lexis Port Dickson. The buffet was held at the Duyung Restaurant. This year apart from the local goodies they had a Middle Eastern station loaded with Kebab, Lamb Mandi Rice with Chick pea and my favourite of all these dishes was the Hummus. It was something different from the normal.

As we came during the first week of Ramadan there was not much of a crowd, so my wife and I really took our time eating. We didn't need to rush.

At the Ramadan Buffet in Grand Lexis they have eight types of cold beverage which was Bandung, Kurma Cordial,Corn, Sugar Cane and so on.

As with most Ramadan Buffet elsewhere, there were lots of cakes, local kuih and pastries. At the dessert counter, they even had Middle Eastern desserts such as Rose Shaped Arabic Danish, Ghreyba Butter Cookies, Turkish Tulumba Arabic Doughnuts.

ACTION STALLS

There was a noodle counter serving a variety of noodles like Chicken Soup, Tom Yam and Mee Curry (my favourite). And also a Murtabak and Roti Herba counter preparing different breads like Roti Canai, Murtabak, Roti Herba, Roti Arab, Capati and Naan.

THE GRILL STATION

At the Grill Station there was beef and chicken satay, kebab, lots of different grill seafood and meats

For the main course there was Seafood Padprik, Chicken in Chili and Honey, Rendang Beef Bones, Mix Vegetables and much much more.

Verdict:-
The food was nice but there were not much action stalls like Roast Lamb and Freshly Grilled Meats and Satay that you find in some other Ramadan Buffet. Make early reservations as the air conditioned area is small. We noticed a few people had to sit by the walkway or poolcafe. The buffet is priced at RM80.00 nett per person and RM40.00 nett per child. They have also group packages for 5 till 20 persons, you will get a 20% discount and 21 person and above there is a 25% discount.
